My name is Zach Richardson. I am a certified personal trainer, and I have played sports most of my life (from little league all the way to the professional level). If you saw me in in little league or high school you would think “this guy doesn’t have what it takes to get noticed by the next level” ... And you’d be right! I was somewhat undersized and too slow for my position to get noticed to play football in college when I was in HS. I had no scholarships, no “stars”, and I wasn’t listed on any recruiting websites, but still managed to play in college then go on to play professional football spending time at the highest level possible (the NFL). If I can do it... You have better chances than you may think!
I dedicated years of my life to figuring out the true ins-and-outs of speed, and gaining size and strength! I tried multiple “speed and strength programs” out there. I would get SOME results, but nothing really drastically changed until I started understanding the mechanics of the body, the “WHY” behind the routine of these training programs, and how your body reacts to certain stimuli (training routines). For those of you who are here to try and get faster, I have realized over the years that there are only 4 ways to get faster. Those four ways are increasing your: Strength, Turn-over speed, Speed Endurance, and/or Technique. Most speed programs focus on the strength phase and ignore all the rest. I have created a program that works on your WEAKNESS... If the reason you are slow is because of Speed Endurance, squatting more and doing endless power-cleans won’t get you any faster. So, I have created a quiz that you can take to figure out what your weakness is, and then I will suggest for you a particular program to focus on.
